The Galaxy A55 Will Get a Few Design Changes

While we are all looking forward to the launch of the Galaxy S24 series on January 17, there are already reports about the alleged specs and design of the mid-range Galaxy A55. Android Headlines got exclusive dibs on the renders of the Galaxy A55, and the design changes are subtle when compared to the Galaxy A54.

Looking at the renders, the Galaxy A55 appears to have flatter frame sides than the Galaxy A54, and it also has Samsung’s new Key Island design–where the power button and volume controls are slightly raised. The presence of antenna lines further confirms that the Galaxy A55 will have an aluminum frame.

Save for those changes, the Galaxy A55 will have the same camera module layout and symmetrical bezels. As for its specs, the Galaxy A55 will reportedly debut the Exynos 1480, which will work an RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU, while its octa-core CPU layout consists of four cores running at 2.75Ghz and another four cores running at 2.0Ghz. The Exynos 1380 was fairly good, so we expect the Exynos 1480 to have significant improvements, especially with its use of an RDNA2-based GPU.

The Galaxy A54. Can you spot the differences?

Like its predecessor, the Galaxy A55 is expected to have a 6.5-inch 120hz OLED display, a 50-megapixel main camera, and 25w charging for its 5000mAh battery. There’s no word yet for a launch date, but it’s expected to launch a month after the Galaxy S24 series
