Global OPPO Reno12 Series to Debut on June 18

After making their debut in China last May, OPPO confirmed that the global version of the Reno12 series will launch in Ibiza on June 18. As expected, the global Reno12 series will differ from the China version: from the teaser poster, the global Reno12 series will not feature the same quad-curved display and instead will go for the usual dual-curved design.

And while the global version will also emphasize AI, they will have a different set of internals. For the Global Reno12 Pro, it will be using a Dimensity 7300 processor and its triple rear camera setup will consist of a 50-megapixel IMX882 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto camera. The Reno12 Pro will also get a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

The standard Reno12 will have the same processor and main camera as the Pro model but will settle for a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 2-megapixel filler camera.

Both Reno12 phones have the same 5000mAh battery with 80w charging, along with a 6.7-inch 120hz AMOLED display. The difference with their displays is with the protection used: the standard Reno12 will use Gorilla Glass 7i, while the Pro model will use Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

There are also reports that the Reno12 series might not include the SuperVOOC charger in the box, but that remains to be seen–we don’t remember any OPPO device that omitted the charger in the box with previous models.
