Acer’s IFA 2016 presentation in Berlin has been capturing tech headlines as of late, given the number of impressive new devices the company unveiled earlier. Add the Acer Spin 7 to the highlights, and it’s the company’s newest convertible, touted as the “world’s thinnest 2-in-1” device. Other Acer Spin variants are expected to launch alongside the Spin 7 too.
Acer Spin 7
- 7th-Generation “Kaby Lake” Intel Core i7 processor
- 8GB RAM
- 14-inch Full HD IPS display, 1920 x 1080 resolution, 10-point touchscreen, Corning Gorilla Glass 4
- 256GB SSD storage
- 10.98mm thin, 2.6 pounds
- 2 x USB Type-C ports
- 8 hours expected battery life
At 10.98mm thin, the Spin 7 is indeed one of the thinnest 2-in-1s yet. Combined with Acer’s aesthetic design and hefty internals, the Spin 7 is one stylish and powerful convertible to behold. The lack of non-USB-C ports is an worrisome feature though.
The Acer Spin 7 will start at $1,199 (~Php 56K) when it’s released in October.
