The new processor will match Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730
While we wait for the Nova 5 family’s official launch on June 21, a new report indicates that there will be three variants: A vanilla Nova 5, a more affordable Nova 5i, and a high-end Nova 5 Pro. The Nova 5i will use a Kirin 710 processor, while the Nova 5 Pro will use a Kirin 980 processor. The vanilla Nova 5, meanwhile, will use a new Kirin 810 processor.

According to rumors, the Kirin 810 is a 7nm-based premium mid-range processor that is on par with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730. Not that much is known for now, but we expect it as the long-awaited successor to last year’s Kirin 710.
Libe images of the Nova 5 have surfaced as well, confirming a quad rear camera setup, a glass back, and a possible in-display fingerprint scanner since there’s no fingerprint scanner at the back.
We should know more about the Nova 5 family on June 21, so stay tuned to the site for updates.
