OnePlus is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary this December. To commemorate the occasion, OnePlus plans to hold one major launch before 2023 comes to a close, and it intends to launch the OnePlus 12 on December 4.
Considering how the OnePlus 11 has impressed us, we’re excited for the OnePlus 12. Even the brand itself is excited for its upcoming flagship phone, it shared two of the OnePlus 12’s standout features.
The first one involves its curved AMOLED display, whereas the OnePlus 12 is confirmed to have a 2K resolution just like its predecessor. It is also an LTPO panel, so expect a 120hz adaptive refresh rate to balance things between battery life and overall smoothness. OnePlus also brags the DisplayMate A+ rating of the OnePlus 12, so expect an excellent display with the upcoming flagship.
The other main selling point of the OnePlus 12 is its cameras, where the brand confirmed that it will use a LYT-808 sensor for the main camera. It’s essentially the same sensor found on the Find N3, and we’re impressed with its overall camera performance, especially with low-light shooting–proof that Sony’s new LYTIA sensors are better than the IMX sensors that most phones use. We presume that the OnePlus 12’s main camera is the same as the Find N3, so expect OIS and a 24mm focal length equivalent as well.
We should know more about the OnePlus 12 during its launch, but we expect it to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, along with 100w charging, a 64-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera.
