While it did not participate at MWC 2023, vivo unveiled the V27 series–that are based on the China-only S16 series design-wise. Both the V27 and V27 Pro are identical save for the processor: the V27 Pro uses a Dimensity 8200, while the V27 uses a Dimensity 7200. The difference between the two processors is that the former has a maximum clock speed of 3.1Ghz, while the former is slightly lower at 2.8Ghz. Both phones can come with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
Both V27 models come with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and a punch-hole for the 50-megapixel selfie shooter with autofocus. Moving to the rear cameras, both feature a triple setup that consists of an 50-megapixel IMX766V main camera with OIS, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro camera. Both come with a 4600mAh battery with 66w charging.
The other difference is with the color option: the V27 Pro only comes in Magic Blue or Noble Black, while the V27 comes in Emerald Green or Flowing Gold.
Aside from the V27 and V27 Pro, there’s also a 4G-only V27e that’s powered by a Helio G99 processor. It has the same rear camera setup as the READ MORE: 64-megapixel main with OIS and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras. Unlike its 5G-ready siblings, the V27e settles for a flat 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate and a selfie shooter for the 32-megapixel selfie shooter. It does keep the 4600mAh battery of its 5G-ready siblings, along with 66w charging.
The V27e starts at $289, while the V27 starts at $399. The V27 Pro, on the other hand, starts at $459. The Philippines usually gets the V-series, though we’re not sure if we will get all three models locally–especially since there’s little difference between the V27 and V27 Pro.
