UPDATE: GOMO has issued a statement, and they traced issues to the slow SIM registration due to autoclickers. “We traced this problem to some subscribers’ use of auto-clickers, which compromise and spam the SIM registration form on the app,” GOMO said in a statement.

“We are working towards resolving problems caused by these autoclickers to ensure that our customers will be able to complete their SIM registration on the app.”

(Original Story) With only 5 days to go before the DICT’s strict April 26 deadline, many GOMO users are growing frustrated with the slow and problematic SIM registration process, especially since GOMO only updated their app with the procedures of uploading valid IDs and selfies last April 19.

We’ve mentioned the other day that the GOMO app is having problems with users in registering their SIMs, usually coming up with a server error towards the last step of the process–or with the whole process being slow compared to the SIM registration process of other telco companies. The frustration is getting bigger, as GOMO users only have a few days left to make sure that they can comply with the SIM Registration Law.

We have been in touch with GOMO for the past few days, and while they said that they are fixing up the issues on their app, the problem with registration still persists for some users.

Considering that the start for SIM registration started last December 17 and that issues were encountered back then, GOMO could have just rolled out its new app last month or even two months ago so that they have leeway time in dealing with slow SIM registration issues being encountered by its users.
