As a believer of the thriving start-up community in the Philippines, PLDT, through subsidiary ePLDT, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with ThingsPH. The start-up company focuses on helping businesses with digital transformation through its IoT platform.

“At the moment, we put strong focuses in startups who are specialized in emerging technologies such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Big Data, hyper-automation, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance),” PLDT Vice President and Head of Enterprise Innovations and IoT Business Development Melvin Jeffrey Chan.

Among the services ThingsPH offers include an IoT and AI platform that caters to the needs of government, large corporations, and MSMEs. Its platforms aim to offer real-time data gathering, analytics, and alerts based on the needs of their clients–all while integrating it with various systems.

Some of ThingsPH’s projects include indoor air quality monitoring for DOH-DOLE compliance, cold-storage temperature monitoring for food quality and safety, and real-time monitoring of asset and inventory.

The partnership with ThingsPH aims to help PLDT in the latter’s dedication in pushing for innovation and co-develop solutions in the process. We hope to elevate our local startups with these kinds of opportunities that are mutually beneficial to all, which ultimately provide customers improved services and better experience out of such partnerships,” PLDT Innovation Lab and Ecosystem Partnerships Head Dara Ever Juan said.
