It’s Shishio!
Yes folks, that image above is legit! The Ruruoni Kenshin live action movie sequels will pit our favorite red haired samurai against Aoshi and eventually the most bad ass villain of all, Shishio Makoto! What’s even more exciting is that it looks like they’re going to try to showcase all the members of the Juppon Gatana, Shishio’s elite group of henchmen. The poster above shows all of the members (we can’t find Fuji though but he’s probably in there somewhere, lol).
If you don’t know there are two sequels slated for release this year. The first one is entitled Ruroni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire while the second one is Ruroni Kenshin: The End of the Legend. The first movie will open in Japan on August while the second one is scheduled for September (not sure if same year or they year after).
Definitely something to look forward to this year! Anyway here’s the official video teaser that popped up on YouTube which ends with Shishio rising up from his seat to face Himura.
