Here’s Why the realme C65 Covers all the Essentials

realme updates its entry-level C series lineup in the Philippines with the arrival of the C65. As its second C series model for 2024, the C65 covers the essentials of what a budget phone must have.

Having used the C65 for two weeks, let’s break down on how the C65 is a well-rounded entry-level phone for 2024:

It has an eye-catching design. Budget phones nowadays tend to gravitate towards the same design language, making them look boring. That’s not the case with the C65, as its camera module has a different design to make it stand out of the crowd better.

While the C65’s back panel has a glossy finish, it has an anti-fingerprint surface that helps it look pristine even if you intend to use the phone without the case. Rounding up the C65’s design is the inclusion of an IP54 rating so you can worry less about dust and water.

Its screen is usable outdoors–and with wet hands. The C65’s 6.67-inch IPS display has a 90hz refresh rate and a display that is bright enough to be used outdoors–no need to worry about the display being hard to read. Aside from being legible, the C65’s display has no problem if the surface is wet.

Even if you’re using the phone during rainy weather, its Waterproof Pouch Mode increases touch sensitivity to allow you to use the C65 without issues.

Its main camera takes decent shots. The C65 comes with a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN1 for the main camera. While it may be a familiar sensor that realme uses on several C series phones, the C65 benefits from the same software optimization we’ve seen on the C67, so photos look better compared to its predecessor.

One of the improvements we noticed with the C65’s 50-megapixel camera is with the 2x digital zoom feature, where we still got decent image quality even while zoomed in.

You get reliable fast charging–and good battery life. The C65 comes with 45w fast charging, which is one of the better charging options at under Php 10k, and this ensures that you can top up its 5000mAh battery in a little under an hour.

Battery life is also great on the C65, as we got 14 hours and 42 minutes in PCMark’s battery benchmark test, which ensures that you can use the phone the whole day and still have enough juice left for the next day.

You’re guaranteed good software update commitment. One of the essentials with any smartphone nowadays is software updates. realme has been transparent when it comes to this matter, and the C65 is guaranteed to have 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security updates.

Having a solid update commitment is important, especially with most users who intend to use their phones for years before deciding to get a new one. A good software commitment also means that the C65 can get a few upgrades and tweaks along the way to improve its overall user experience.

BONUS: It goes well with realme’s Buds T110. realme has a good ecosystem portfolio for its phones, and the newly-released Buds T110 makes it a perfect pair with the C65. These budget TWS earbuds come with 10mm Titanium plated composite dome diaphragms to give you that solid kick of bass with your music.

The Buds T110 also comes with support for Google Fast Pair for seamless pairing, along with up to 38 hours of battery life, ENC noise cancellation for calls, and an IPX5 rating to make them usable for workouts.

The realme C65 has an official price of Php 9,999 and is available at realme stores nationwide and online in Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop. The Buds T110, on the other hand, is priced at Php 1,399.
