Divoom Bluetune Solo Unboxing: Small Speakers, Big Sound

Divoom Bluetune Solo unboxing!

Audio company Divoom has always had a great track record in making great sounding, affordable wireless portable speakers. Today’s unboxing features their newest one yet – the Divoom Bluetune Solo. To be honest, we were surprised at how loud this thing got, considering its size. Enough talk – on to the unboxing!

The Divoom Bluetune Solo is packed in a small acrylic shell that shows off the aesthetics of the speaker even before you open the package. Right off the bat, you’ll notice how small and understated its design is – which is something we like. It’s also got some heft to it, weighing in at around 227 grams. Our demo device came in a nice handsome blue color. If that’s not up to your liking, don’t fret – you can get other color variations as well, which includes red, white, orange, purple and dark grey.

Once you free the Bluetune Solo from its packaging, you’ll find that Divoom have included a soft carrying pouch, a USB charger/connector and the user manual.

There’s few controls on the Bluetune Solo. There’s a button on the top of the device that you can use to pair it with your mobile phone (or any Bluetooth device really). The on/off switch is located on the bottom of the device.

A micro USB port serves as the charging/aux port for the Bluetune Solo. There’s an audio input port as well.

One of the things we didn’t like when we saw the Bluetune Solo was that it didn’t have a separate audio control, which means you need to control the volume directly from your smartphone or tablet.

Pairing the Bluetune Solo is easy enough – just press the call/pair button on the top for a few seconds till it flashes continuously, then pair as normal.

We were surprised at just how loud the Divoom Bluetune Solo was – for such a small speaker, it easily filled a medium sized room with sound. It also had quite the bass oomph, thanks to its X-bass sound system featuring patented PO-Bass Technology.

That’s it for the Unboxing, we’ll have the full review of the Divoom Bluetune Solo soon! If you want to grab a Bluetune Solo, it’s priced at Php 2,500.
