Own the night using Android

One of possibly the coolest case/accessories we saw in last year’s CES was the FLIR One, which was essentially a case that turns your regular iPhone 5/5S into a thermal imaging camera, allowing to see even in the darkest of nights. There was only one problem – the system was essenstially limited to iPhone 5/5s smartphones which kind of sucked for the rest of the Android-toting population. Thankfully, the creators have addressed that with the FLIR One dongle, which allows you to turn any Android smartphone (or iPhone) into a thermal sensor.

So what is it good for? Aside from finding Predators hiding in the jungle (and the occasional Austrian action star hiding in mud) and seeing in the dark, not much really but it’s a real cool Android peripheral to have. The FLIR One is expected to retail at around $200 to $300 later this year.
