The Panasonic Lumix S9 is a Tiny Full-Frame Camera

If you think Nikon is the only one that has a stylish full-frame camera with the Zf, Panasonic also wants that share of the market with the Lumix S9. Panasonic’s new compact full-frame camera appears to give Fujifilm a run for its money with the recently-launched X-T50 and the unobtanium status of the X100VI.

At the heart of the Lumix S9 is the same 24.2-megapixel sensor that’s used on the S5 II, which has a bigger overall form factor, The stylish design of the Lumix S9 includes a body that  has three other color options–similar to the “skins” you have on the Nikon Zf.

Since it uses the same sensor as the bigger S5 II, the Lumix S9 can shoot at up to 6K30 video in 4:2:0 10-bit and up to 4K60b in 4:2:2 10-bit. You also get IBIS as well, along with Phase Hybrid AF, making the Lumix S9 a capable hybrid camera especially with its flippable touchscreen display. The Lumix S9 has its own approach to Fujifilm’s popular Film Simulation Modes with Real-Time LUTs (short for Look Up Table). LUTs are color profiles that you can use for shooting footage, saving you time from needing to color grade them in post.

The Lumix S9 has a price of $1799(~Php 105k) with the 20-60mm F/3.5-5.6 kit lens and $1599(~Php 94k) for the body only. It will be available starting June.
