Razer seems keen on expanding its portfolio beyond gaming laptops with the release of its first productivity laptop, the Book 13. This monolithic-looking laptop looks eerily familiar to its all-black, gaming-focused Blade Stealth, though the new ultrabook is being aimed at office and corporate workers rather than gamers.
The Book 13 features a 16:10 aspect ratio screen, a slightly less ideal screen for watching movies and playing games as it is in providing extra space for making spreadsheets and writing.
Hardware-wise you can get the Razer Book 13 with either an 11th gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of NVMe SSD storage.
Technically you can still game on the Book 13 via Razer’s Core external GPU accessory, though that’s going to be a spendy affair considering you still have to buy a separate GPU and the Razer Core itself to be able to do that. Unless you have monumentally deep pockets, it’d be easier just to buy a gaming laptop at the get-go.
Speaking of spending, the Razer Book 13 starts at USD 1,200 (Php 57,9K.) which comes with Intel Core i5 (11th-gen) and 8GB of RAM. There’s also an option for a touchscreen display, a Core i7 processor, and 16GB of RAM which start at USD 1,600 (Php 77,2K.) Its all-out model which comes with a UHD+ display and 512GB of storage is likely to hit prices of up to USD 2,000 (Php 96,5 K).
