OPPO Wants To Dominate Foldables with the Find N3

OPPO is serious in its commitment to dominate in the foldables market with the global unveiling of both the Find N3 Flip and Find N3. We already know about the Find N3 Flip, so its bigger sibling is the main star of the show at OPPO’s launch in Singapore.

The Find N3 is a complete makeover from the Find N2, resulting in a larger device to accommodate the updated Hasselblad-branded triple camera setup at the back.

Being physically larger overall, the Find N3’s inner display is a 7.8-inch flexible LTPO OLED panel with a 120hz variable refresh rate. Like its predecessors, the punch-hole for the selfie shooter is on the right corner. The cover screen is also bigger at 6.31 inches

and also has a 120hz variable refresh rate. Both have a bump in resolution, making the Find N3’s display appear sharper than the Find N2.

Being OPPO’s flagship foldable, the Find N3 is powered by an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with options for up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The battery is also bigger at 4800mAh and supports 67w charging.

The main highlight of the Find N3 is that huge camera bump that covers almost half of the back panel. The triple rear camera setup consists of a 64-megapixel telephoto camera that has OIS and a 70mm focal length equivalent, a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide camera with a 14mm focal length equivalent, and an all-new 48-megapixel Sony LYTIA-T808 main camera with OIS and a 24mm focal length equivalent.

This makes the Find N3 the first smartphone to use Sony’s LYTIA imaging sensors. This new line of sensors is optimized for mobile devices, and the one used on the Find N3 has a 1/1.35-inch size that utilizes a unique “2-layer transistor pixel structure”. Sony claims that this approach makes the Find N3’s main camera perform at par with 1-inch sensors–specifically Sony’s IMX989–used on other premium flagship phones.

The Find N3 is priced at S$2,399 for the 16GB/512GB model, which translates to around Php 100k when converted. Unlike the Find N3 Flip, OPPO is not bringing the Find N3 to the Philippines.
