OPPO is expected to unveil the Reno9 series soon, and new renders of the series reveal that all three models–the vanilla, Pro, and Pro+, will all get curved displays. From the renders, the vanilla Reno9 does not have a Marisilicon X chip, while the Pro+ gets a triple rear camera setup.
With all three models getting a curved display, it’s clear that OPPO intends to position the Reno9 series as upper mid-range phones.
While there’s not much detail about the specs, we previously reported that the Reno9 will make a surprising move by using a Snapdragon 778G processor–which is a downgrade from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 used on the Reno8. its curved display is expected to be a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution, 120hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. As for the cameras, the selfie shooter will still be a 32-megapixel IMX709, while the main rear camera is a 64-megapixel OV64B sensor. It’s expected to come with as much as 12GB RAM, along with a 4500mAh battery that supports 67w charging.
As for the Reno9 Pro+, it is expected to use a Dimensity 8100 processor and will use a 50-megapixel IMX 766 main camera–presumably with OIS.
