Apple’s A12 Bionic chip became official with the iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and Xr a few days back. As the first commercially available 7nm chip, the A12 Bionic comes with six cores that consist of 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. It also comes with Apple’s in-house GPU and a second-generation 8-core NPU. How powerful is it? According to AnTuTu, it is insanely powerful with a score of 363525.
For reference, phones with Snapdragon 845 processors average anywhere between 260k to 290k. This makes the A12 Bionic the first processor to break the 300K mark.
With the A12 Bionic’s performance, expect upcoming 7nm processors like the Kirin 980 and Snapdragon 855 to match or beat the score in AnTuTu.
