ASUS To Roll Out Windows 11 Update Starting October 5

Just in time for the official roll out of Windows 11, ASUS announced that a number of its laptops will be receiving the upgrade to the latest version of Windows starting October 5 for free. ZenBooks and TUF models that will receive Windows 11 include:

  • Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582)
  • Zenbook Duo 14 (UX482)
  • Zenbook 14 (UX425)
  • Zenbook Flip 13 OLED (UX363)
  • Zenbook 13 OLED (UX325/UM325)
  • TUF Dash F15 (FX516)

ROG and ExpertBook laptops that will receive Windows 11 include:

  • Zephyrus G14 (GA401)
  • Zephyrus G15 (GA503)
  • Zephyrus M16 (GU603)
  • Strix Scar 15 (G533)
  • Strix G15 (G513)
  • BR1100
  • ExpertBook B9

On top of all those models mentioned, ASUS said that models that will release in the coming weeks will have Windows 11 out of the box.

Some of the new features users can expect with Windows 11 include an all-new Windows Store, a revamped Widgets interface, support for DirectX 12 Ultimate, DirectStorage, AutoHDR, improved touchscreen functionality, and enhanced multitasking.

Aside from ASUS, other brands are expected to roll out Windows 11 to their computers as well, as long as they meet the minimum requirements. Those who have an eligible PC eligible will be notified when the update is available, or can check if their device is ready for the update by going to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
