The headline feature of both Pixel 6 phones is the custom Tensor chip. Manufactured using a 5nm process, the Tensor uses two Cortex-X1 cores and is the first chip to do so. Accompanying the Cortex-X1 cores are two mid-level cores and four efficiency cores. The Tensor processor also comes with a custom imaging processor to aid with the Pixel 6 series’ computational photography. Among these new features include Magic Eraser for removing distractions in photos, Face Unblur for sharpening a face from a batch of photos taken from an action shot, and improved versions of Portrait Mode, Night Mode, and Astrophotography.

The Tensor processor also comes with Google’s Titan M2 security chip, and Google promises up to 5 years of security updates for both Pixel 6 phones.

The Pixel 6 Pro has a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera, along with a 6.7-inchj Quad HD+ LTPO curved AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate and a punch-hole for the 11.6-megapixel selfie snapper. It also comes with a 5000mAh battery with support for 30w wired charging and 23w wireless charging. The vanilla Pixel 6, on the other hand, drops the telephoto camera and uses a smaller 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90hz refresh rate and a punch-hole for the 8-megapixel selfie snapper. It also gets a smaller 4600mAh battery that has support for 30w wired charging and 21w wireless charging.
