It’s the mid-range Nokia most of us are waiting for
If you felt underwhelmed with the Nokia 7.1, HMD Global makes up for it—at least in China—with the Nokia X7. Being a bigger model (as this will most likely be the Nokia 7.1 Plus when it launches globally), the Nokia X7 has a bigger 6.18-inch panel with the same PureDisplay features of the Nokia 7.1, including the ability to do SDR to HDR video conversion in real time.
The biggest upgrade of the Nokia X7 is its internals, as it is powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. This makes the Nokia X7 one of the few phones aside from Xiaomi’s Mi 8 SE and OPPO’s R17 Pro to utilize Qualcomm’s newest AI-powered mid-range processor.
The Nokia X7’s Zeiss cameras get an upgrade, with the secondary rear camera being a 13-megapixel f/2.4 sensor. The front camera is now a 20-megapixel f/2.0 variety, with pixel binning tech for better low-light selfies.
