Which one to get?

There are many factors to consider before giving our recommendations aside from knowing the availability. If you are after affordability, Sky Fiber is the only one that offers a plan that’s priced at under Php 1,000, though you can only do so much with 20Mbps unless there are only one or two people at home using the internet at the same time.

For the majority of internet providers in the Philippines, 200Mbps is the minimum, and Converge offers the lowest price at Php 1500. The price difference of Converge’s 200Mbps plan compared to what Globe, Red, and PLDT offer matters only on the freebies they have bundled.

While Globe offers the most amount of freebies across all of their broadband plans, we think that PLDT’s bundling of a Landline service with unlimited calls to Smart and Talk ‘n Text is the more practical option–especially if your entire household uses a Smart or Talk ‘N Text number.

If you’re after the fastest possible speeds, Globe is the only internet provider in the Philippines to offer a 1.5Gbps plan. While they do have one, availability for such plans is very limited since internet providers will have to set up specific infrastructure to accommodate such speeds. PLDT does have a 10Gbps Plan, but you’ll need to inquire for the price–and if your area supports it.

Our last advice? Before settling in for an internet provider, make sure to ask for feedback from your community AND make sure that they are providing real fiber internet (and not those old, copper-based DSL internet services). The former is important because it should give you an idea if your desired internet provider is doing well in your area.

Oh, okay. So this is only if we base it on “only fiber internet”.

I was gonna comment on how biased this article was. Glad to check first.
