It’s a busy day at the 2023 Mobile World Congress (MWC) here in Barcelona. In order to add to the festivities, the first OnePlus foldable smartphone has been set to debut in the latter part of 2023. The announcement was made during the “Fast, Smooth, and Quick” portion of the event.

“Our first foldable phone will have the signature OnePlus fast and smooth experience. It
must be a flagship phone that doesn’t settle because of its folding form, in terms of industrial design, mechanical technology, and other aspects. We want to launch a device that aims to be at the pinnacle experience of today’s foldable market.” said Kinder Liu, President and
COO of OnePlus.

With this, we can expect the 2023 OnePlus Foldable phone to be flagship-grade to go up against the industry’s best. It may even remain to be a value-killer like OnePlus devices of yesteryear. If the brand successfully brings the OnePlus 11 experience to the foldable space, then all the other brands should take note.
