Samsung Introduces Entry-Level Galaxy Watch FE Ahead of Next Unpacked Event

Ahead of its next Unpacked event, Samsung unveiled an FE version of its Galaxy Watch, marking the first time that Samsung offered an entry-level smartwatch in its portfolio. With a 40mm diameter, the Galaxy Watch FE has the same look and feel as the rest of the Galaxy Watch series.

New to the line are the watch bands that have blue and orange stitching as accent colors. Replacing the strap is easy with a one-click mechanism, while it is still a premium smartwatch with its use of sapphire glass to protect the circular display.

The Galaxy Watch FE has Samsung’s BioActive Sensor, for comprehensive health monitoring that includes monitoring sleep patterns, Blood Pressure, and Heart Rate. It can also track over 100 different workouts and supports a running analysis feature to guide runners.

As part of the Galaxy ecosystem, the Watch FE has Find My Phone and can also function as a camera controller when connected to your Galaxy phone, beyond acting as a shutter, the Camera Controller feature can control zooming as well.

Samsung said that the Galaxy Watch FE will be available in the Philippines this July. While they did not give the official price, it retails in the US for $199(~Php 12k) for the base model and $249(~Php 15k) for the one with LTE connectivity.
